This course is for advanced students who’ve become proficient in the process of creating single panel Magazine/Gag type cartoons and have demonstrated strengths in visual storytelling, penciling, lettering and inking. The course examines the process of creating a humorous comic strip feature. It also explores how to find and contact potential markets. Lessons involve practical exercises in writing, research, character development and design, strip layout, penciling, lettering and inking of up to four weeks worth of daily strips for submission to potential markets. Completed lessons will be sent to ToonMaker.com for review, evaluation and critique.
